United States Vets, Inc. Host 2015 MLK, Jr. Benefit & Expo
United States Vets, Inc., a nonprofit organization, will kick off its MLK, Jr. Weekend Benefits & Expo on Saturday, January 17, 2015, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. It will take place at Forrester’s On the River, located at 26 Main Street in Toledo, OH. Businesses, organizations, and individuals have opportunities to be hosts, sponsor a Veteran’s lunch, and enjoy live musical entertainment provided by “The Veterans Band & Friends." Featured performers will include Bob May, Jazz music from The Skip Turner Band, and poetry by Ms. Ophelia J. Thompson.
Opportunities are still available for small businesses and nonprofits to take advantage of vendor space in order for them to showcase their products and services. Nonprofits can also take advantage of informing attendees of services they offer. Call 419-206-5979 for more information.
Individuals, businesses, and organizations can make group reservations at Forrester’s On The River by calling 419-691-2626. Honoring and supporting our nation’s heroes is being asked by sponsoring a Veterans’ lunch. Lunch can be by reservation or by available seating.
Sponsorship opportunities are additionally offered. The fundraiser’s purpose is to assist American Veterans in search for stability in their lives via educational needs, advocacy, and referrals and vital, viable resources while in civilian life in Toledo and the surrounding areas. United States Vets. Inc. warmly welcomes the public to attend and support our Veterans at this first event for 2015.
