Blade Northwest Ohio Spelling Bee to Be Live-Streamed
(TOLEDO) – The 2015 Blade Northwest Ohio Championship Spelling Bee will be live-streamed on ESPN3, the Web version cable sports news giant, says Spelling Bee coordinator Paula Emery.
“This is the first time it has been covered live, and we’re thrilled to bring the excitement of our Bee into homes all over the world,” she says.

Fifty-three spellers from Fulton, Hancock, Henry, Lucas, Ottawa, Sandusky, Seneca, Williams, Wood, and Wyandot counties in Ohio will be competing in the Bee, which will take place Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at the Owens Community College Center for Fine and Performing Arts.
The winner will receive a trip to the National Spelling Bee near Washington, DC, to represent Northwest Ohio. The winner will also receive Merriam-Webster’s Third New International Dictionary, a Samuel Louis Sugarman Award of a 2015 United States Mint Proof set, a Championship Spelling Bee plaque, and additional prizes from The Blade.
Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
