Distinguished Artist Awards
In 2013 the Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce and the Sylvania Community Arts Commission established the Distinguished Artist Hall of Fame. In 2015 two distinguished artists - National Geographic Photographer Sam Abell and Jean Holden, Northwest Ohio noted Songstress and teacher to hundreds of local musicians - will be honored. The honorees’ work are represented on the streets of Sylvania in the beautiful banners that decorate the city.
The Distinguished Hall of Fame induction will be held on May 29, 2015 at 6PM at the Sylvania Historical Village Train Barn. The event will feature gourmet grazing from Sylvania restaurants and wines will be provided by Heidelberg Distributing. Restaurants that will be on site at the Gala are The Pinnacle/CPW Events, Mancy’s Italian, Ciao Restaurant, Treo Restaurant, City BBQ, Chandler’s Café and Eston’s Gourmet Creations.

On May 30-31 the Maple and Main Art Festival will take place featuring a juried art show, entertainment, local restaurants and fine wines. Hours for the Art and Wine Festival are 11AM -7:30 PM on Saturday and Sunday from 10:00 AM - 4:00 PM
