20 North Gallery Celebrates 15th Annual “Derby Days” Exhibit at Manhattan’s
Downtown restaurant to host exhibit of equine art and Derby party
Toledo, OH—April 17, 2015. 20 North Gallery presents the "15th Annual Derby Days Exhibit," featuring the best in equine art by local and regional artists including Pam Busick, Marcin Chumiecki, Larry Golba, Peggy Grant, Scott Heacock, Matt Mickel, Robert E. Shorter and Daniel Steck, Jr., among others.. Horse-themed artwork in a variety of media— painting, photography, drawing and pastel will be displayed. The exhibit runs through Sunday, May 17, 2015.
This year’s exhibit reception on Derby Day, Saturday, May 2nd, from 4 – 7p.m., at Manhattan’s Restaurant (1516 Adams Street, Toledo, Ohio 43604) also serves as the 2nd annual 20 North Gallery Reunion, with Derby Days exhibition founder and 20 North Gallery Art Director Emerita Peggy Brennan Grant present at the reception to welcome art- and horse-lovers.
The reception has a $5 cover charge at the door and includes delicious hors d’oeuvres by Manhattan’s—one the premier restaurants of Toledo. Attendees are encouraged to order one of Toledo’s most authentic mint juleps—made from a recipe obtained by Peggy from the late Samuel Riddle, owner of the legendary racehorse Man o’ War…
This year's reception is made possible in part by Bank of Maumee.
The artists, 20 North Gallery staff and Manhattan’s proprietors Marty and Barbara Lahey will be welcoming friends and collectors at the Derby Day reception. The televised “run for the roses” will be broadcast on multiple screens during the event. Guests are urged to come dressed in their Derby hats and sporting attire.
Reservations to attend the reception are appreciated, but not required.
