Heart to Perform at Hollywood Casino Toledo
Rock and Roll hall of fame inductees Heart will perform live at Hollywood Casino Toledo on Friday, July 31st as part of the Hollywood Concert Series.
Heart, inductees into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Class of 2013, is comprised of sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson. Together, they achieved chart success in the 1970s with hard-rocking hits like “Crazy on You,” “Magic Man” and “Barracuda,” and then in the 1980s and 90s, crossed over into pop stardom with smash singles like “These Dreams” and “What About Love.”
Together as Heart, their music showcased the sisters’ enormous talents as musicians, singers and songwriters as they sold more than 35 million albums and earned four GRAMMY nominations. In 2012 Ann and Nancy Wilson released their memoir, Kicking & Dreaming: A Story of Heart, Soul and Rock & Roll, which achieved New York Times Best Seller status.
2012 was also the year that the Wilson sisters were awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The following spring, the accolades culminated with their induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Their most recent album, 2014’s Heart & Friends: Home for the Holidays, captures the energy of their once-in-a-lifetime holiday homecoming in Seattle, a star-studded affair featuring guest performances from Shawn Colvin, Sammy Hagar, Richard Marx and Pat Monahan.
Tickets for Heart’s performance at 8pm on Friday, July 31st are now on sale. They can be purchased on Ticketmaster.com or at any Ticketmaster outlet for $49-89 plus fees.
The Hollywood Concert Series runs from July through September in the casino’s unique open-air venue located alongside the picturesque Maumee River. The current lineup includes:
