DL Hughley & Friends to Perform at Hollywood Casino Toledo Friday, August 21st. Tickets now on sale for an all-star evening of big laughs on the riverfront D.L. Hughley & Friends will perform live at Hollywood Casino Toledo on Friday, August 21st as part of the summer-long Hollywood Concert Series, sponsored by Bud Light. The Hollywood Concert series runs all summer long in a unique open-air venue located alongside the picturesque Maumee River. Hughley will be joined by fellow comedians Ohio native Gary Owen and Kym Whitley, as well as his radio co-host Steve Wilson. The evening will be hosted by Detroit’s own COCO. It is expected to be a full night of laughter. D.L. Hughley, an Original King of Comedy, is one of today’s most popular and recognizable stand-up comedians, perhaps best known for his accomplishments in television, film and radio. He hosts “The D.L. Hughley Show,” a radio show nationally syndicated to over 50 cities, won the prestigious George Foster Peabody Award for his Comedy Central special, D.L. Hughley: The Endangered List and his has a stand-up special, Clear, currently airing on Showtime. Beyond stand-up comedy, he’s also hosted TV shows like D.L. Hughley Breaks the News and Trust Me; I’m A Game Show Host. Gary Owen is another multi-talented performer, recently starring in Think Like A Man and its sequel, Think Like A Man Too. He also hosted the Shaq All-Star Comedy Jam tour and this year filmed his Showtime special, Gary Owen: I Agree with Myself. He also played a recurring role as Zach the barber on Tyler Perry’s House of Payne. Kym Whitley is a comedian and actress best known for her roles on television comedies like Animal Practice, The Boondocks, Young & Hungry and The Parkers. She currently can be seen on her reality show, Raising Whitley which airs on Oprah Winfrey’s OWN network. Steve Wilson is one of America’s fastest-rising comics and the co-host of “The D.L. Hughley Show.” He has performed on BET Comic View, The Comedy Spot, Showtime at the Apollo, ABC’s Samantha Who?, Comics Unleashed, Comedy Central’s Live at Gotham, VH1’s reality show Let’s Talk about Pep and CNN Headline News’ Showbiz Tonight. COCO is best known as the host of Mason & COCO in the Morning on Detroit’s 105.9 kiss-fm. She’s been on the airwaves since 1996 and on the stand-up scene since 1991.
