Groundbreaking Ceremony for King Road Branch Library

The Toledo-Lucas County Public Library is proud to announce a Groundbreaking Ceremony for the King Road Branch Library in Sylvania, OH. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11 in the grassy area off King Road near the Sylvania Avenue intersection - Look for the tent. The groundbreaking is scheduled to include brief remarks from Library Director Clyde Scoles; the Honorable Congressman Bob Latta, 5th District; the Honorable Representative Barbara Sears, 47th District; the Honorable Sylvania Mayor Craig Stough, and Library Board President Sheila Odesky. Sylvania City and Sylvania Township community leaders, and guests are also planning to attend the outdoor ceremony, which is open to the public. The King Road Branch Library is expected to take about one year to complete, and will address the increasing population growth and demand for library services in the western portion of Lucas County. The branch will be built on seven acres and measure about 15,000-square-feet upon completion. Nearby parking available. Pedestrian crossing will be monitored by the City of Sylvania Police Department.
