“Savour Sylvania” Restaurant Week – August 16-23
The Sylvania Chamber along with local restaurants in the area love community support. Savor Sylvania was developed to remind our area the importance of eating local. The second annual “Savour Sylvania” Restaurant Week will take place August 16-23, 2015. Restaurants in Sylvania will offer special food promotions that are unique to their restaurants. In addition, participating restaurants will host an end-of-the-week drawing for customers who visit their restaurants during the week. Gift baskets will be awarded on Saturday to lucky winners. As part of “Savour Sylvania” Restaurant Week a Kick-Off will be held on Sunday, August 16th at the Historical Train Barn in downtown Sylvania. It is one-of-a-kind wine and dine event that will open Restaurant Week yearly. Money raised from the kick-off event will go to fund continuing scholarships in the culinary industry. The Kick-off event will feature: • Dining Stations from local restaurants from 5-7:30PM. • Wine Sampling from International Wineries coordinated by Heidelberg Wines • Entertainment from local musicians and hosted by Fred LeFebvre • Tickets are $35.00 ticket or $65.00 per couple • Net proceeds will be used to fund culinary scholarships The Restaurants that have already signed on to be at the kick-off event are Chandler Café, Charlie’s Restaurant, Ciao Ristorante, Element 112, Eston’s Bakery, Mancy’s Italian, Marco’s Pizza, Max & Erma’s, Memphis Pearl, Oasis , Pop Grille, Revolution Grill, Tony Packo’s and Treo. Wine tasting will be provided by Heidelberg Distributing. Sponsors of Restaurant Week are Vin Devers Autohaus of Sylvania, Heartland at ProMedica, The Flower Hospital, Farmers and Merchants State Bank, Paramount Health Care, Walker Funeral Home, The Anderson’s, PNC Bank, The Toledo Blade, IHeart Media, The City of Sylvania and Sylvania CIC.
