Sylvania to Hold its Annual Fall Festival and Parade - 10/18/2015

(Sylvania, Ohio) The Sylvania Sister City Commission is holding its annual Fall Festival from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 18, 2015; the Fall Festival Parade starts at 12:45 p.m.
The parade is scheduled to feature both Northview and Southview high schools’ Marching Bands, antique automobiles, dance troupes, motorcycle clubs, representatives from Woodstock, Ontario, Canada—Sylvania's Sister City—a variety of bicycle groups, Glass City Rollers—Toledo’s premiere roller derby league, and Shriners driving Corvairs and go-carts.
Lourdes University President David Livingston is this year's Grand Marshall of the Fall Festival Parade. Lourdes University, located in Sylvania, will also feature its Homecoming Court as Parade participants this year.
Main Street will be lined with over 70 booths for the Festival featuring food vendors, crafts, and local organizations. Live music will be performed on the main stage at the corner of Main Street and Maplewood Avenue. Acts include Bob Wurst and Northview High School Theatre’s cast from “The Music Man.”
Non-perishable food donations will be collected during the Parade by local Boy Scout Troops benefitting Sylvania-area food pantries.
