Red Bird Art Walk January 2016
Ringing in the New Year with Live Music On January 8th, 2016, the Red Bird District’s Art Walk will ring in the New Year with live music, in addition to the art exhibits, live artists at work, culinary creations and more. The District has ten live music venues this month with local musicians and band performances from 5pm-8ish. All performances are free. - Chandler Café – The New Fashioned, Jazz - Hudson Gallery– 3MD, Blues Rock - Pro Music – John Michael Durback, Guitar - Choconotes – MoonStar, Pop Folk - River Centre Gallery – Sandy Burke Trio - Chic Happens – Catherine Steele, Guitar - Kevin Charles Salon – Northview Student Jazz Trio - Treo One2 Lounge 7:30pm – Straight Up Trio, Jazz - Interrupt – Tim Tegge, Singer/Songwriter - The Sodbuster Bar 8pm – Not Your Average, Rock The restaurants and bars will also offer food and drink specials throughout the evening including Signature Smoked Cocktails for $10 at Element 112 and Red Wine & Blushing Mimosas for $4 at Executive on the Main. Other creative happenings include the 2016 Student Banner Art Project at the River Centre Gallery, live sketches at Reve Salon and Spa, a Nintendo 64 Game Night at The Studio 419, Restorative Yoga from 5pm-6pm at Harmony in Life, and woodworking at our newest member, Frogtown Computers on Erie street.
