February Events at the Toledo Zoo
TOLEDO, Ohio – Go wild to stay warm this month with these exciting events happening at your Toledo Zoo. Through February 29 - Online Coupons Need an inexpensive yet incredibly entertaining activity to drive away the winter blahs? The Toledo Zoo is here to help with a half off admission coupon! The coupon is available online at toledozoo.org and is redeemable on visits within the same time period. Guests must present the coupon (printed or digital) at the entry gate to receive the discount. The coupon is not valid with any other offers and does not apply to groups of 20 or more. Feb. 5, 6, 12, 13, 19, 20, 26, 27 - Snooze at the Zoo Spending the night at the Zoo is a wild good time for families, groups and schools. During the overnight adventure, guests make enrichment for our animals, tour the Zoo, meet animals up close and enjoy delicious catered meals. Each Snooze lasts from 6:30 p.m. - 10 a.m. the next day. Saturday, Feb. 13 - Vanimal-tine’s Day Bring your sweetie and watch the animals enjoy their holiday-themed enrichment treats! Saturday, Feb. 13 - Wine Tasting Ages 21 & up enjoy a delectable array of wines, hors d’oeuvres, live music and socializing in the beauty of the newly-renovated Aquarium from 7 – 9 p.m. Advanced tickets are required. Saturday, Feb. 13 – Monday, Feb. 15 - Free Zoo Admission for Lucas County residents In appreciation of Lucas County voters’ continuing levy support, Lucas County residents are admitted free to the Zoo from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. and receive two sets of Zoo coupons this Presidents Day holiday weekend. Valid proof of residency required. Monday, Feb. 15 - Camp for a Day – Presidents Day Children age five-12 can enjoy a special day camp when school is out! This program focuses on the “United States of Animals” and features live animal visits, activities and crafts. The camp runs 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. Separate fee; Zoo member discount applies. Wednesday, Feb. 24 - Great Lakes Symposium The Toledo Zoo’s Education Department is hosting a Great Lakes Symposium 9 a.m. -12:30 p.m. in the Zoo’s Indoor Theater. The symposium will feature several area biologists and researchers presenting on water quality, invasive species and other Great Lakes related topics. The symposium is free and open to the public. Friday, Feb. 26 - Once upon a Vine presented by Fifth Third Enjoy an elegant evening at the Zoo, complete with an art auction featuring local artists’ work and proceeds benefitting animal care and education programs at the Zoo along with a five-course dinner with expertly paired wines.
