Lourdes University and The University of Toledo Colleges of Nursing Offer Educational Program With Nationally-Known Nurse Leader

The Colleges of Nursing at Lourdes University and The University of Toledo are pleased to present “The Future of Nursing in Northwest Ohio” on Wednesday, February 24 from 5 to 6 p.m. at the Franciscan Center, 6832 Convent Blvd., in Sylvania. The program is sponsored by the Northwest Ohio Team of the Ohio Action Coalition, State Implementation Grant. Featured Speaker Dr. Michael Bleich, President of Barnes Jewish College and Dean and Professor of Goldfarb School of Nursing in St. Louis, MO is the featured program speaker. A renowned nurse leader and public speaker, Dr. Bleich is one of the authors and researchers for the original 2010 Institute of Medicine Report The Future of Nursing: Leading Change, Advancing Health. He will lead the audience in a thought-provoking discussion about how northwest Ohio prepares and utilizes registered nurses and its vision for the future. Program Contact Hours The Future of Nursing program has been awarded 1.0 contact hours and is open to local and regional nursing faculty and practice leaders. The program is free.
