Black History Month Dinner - African American Club at MVCDS
Each year the African American Club at Maumee Valley Country Day School holds a Black History Month dinner to celebrate African American culture. The main goal for this gathering is to come together as a community and discuss important topics in black culture today. In previous years these discussions have been conducive in bringing together people from different backgrounds and getting their opinions on controversial subjects.
On February 29 from 6-8pm, Afro-Am will continue their annual tradition. This year’s theme is diversity in the media. There will be a panel of respected community members answering questions on this matter. The audience is also encouraged to add their thoughts to the conversation. The general public is invited to come and participate in the dinner and the discussion.
