4th Annual Women of the World Symposium (W.O.W.)
W.O.W. is a collaborative effort of multiple women-owned businesses, women-focused organizations and individuals that share a common goal and interest: the wellbeing and empowerment of women and adolescent girls.
These Powerful Women came together with the desire to provide our diverse community of women and girls, during Women’s History month, a day (March 19, 2016) in which to celebrate our past and contemplate our future through learning, living well and loving today.
As in the past three years, we are planning educational and fun breakout sessions, opportunity to be creative in our crafts area, a WOW Market Place for shopping and supporting women artists and businesses, great entertainment, and a variety of health screenings. WOW- that’s a lot!
We continually aspire for this to be a day in which women and adolescent girls will feel empowered by our uniqueness, inspired to reach our goals and filled with a sense of unity as we celebrate the history we share as women.
Planning for 2016 is underway. Participation in the Planning Circle is open to any interested woman or organization that shares our goals. We seek women-owned and women- servicing business and organizations to be part of our Market Place. (Last year we had 52 vendors.) We also seek women who are interested in sharing their talents and knowledge by offering workshop sessions and/or entertainment for participants. In past years, select workshops were videoed, compliments of Knowledge Stream, for viewing by the community at-large. Room monitors and evaluations are available for support and feedback.
