Maumee Valley Country Day School Quiz Bowl Team Repeats as TAAC Champions for Fifth Consecutive Year
The Maumee Valley Country Day School Quiz Bowl team won the TAAC Quiz Bowl Championship Tournament March 5th at Cardinal Stritch High School. The team was undefeated in all five matches, with the closest match against Ottawa Hills where Maumee Valley came out on top by five points. Ultimately, the Hawks won the tournament by 60 points. Seniors Audrey Corcoran, Maumee, OH, John Sullivan, Whitehouse, OH, Alex Pechlivanos, Toledo, OH and Chris DeRosa, Toledo, OH were joined by Emma O'Leary '18, Toledo, OH and Nick Zeller '19, Toledo, OH. The team was coached by Nancy Buccilli and her assistant Martha Corcoran.
