UT Department of Music Ends Spring Semester on a High Note with Two Outstanding Choral Concerts April 30 and May 1
UT’s Concert Chorale, University Chorus, and Community Chorus will perform together in concert on April 30 for Gioachino Rossini’s Stabat Mater. Accompanying these three groups will be a variety of soloists. The concert will be held in Doermann Theater located in University Hall on UT’s main campus. Tickets prices are $8-$4 for this event. Parking is free in lots nearest to University Hall (Area 1N, Area 13). May 1, UT’s Concert Chorale, Women’s Chamber Ensemble, and members of the UT Opera Workshop will present Viva L’Italia, a small chamber concert of Italian works and composers. The concert will be held in the Recital Hall in the Center of Performing Arts on UT’s main campus. Admission to this event is free. Parking is free in Area 12, just across the street from the CPA. Both concerts are directed by UT’s Director of Choral Activities, Dr. Brad Pierson. Dr. Pierson has been with UT since fall of 2015. He holds a B.M. from the University of Nevada, an M.M. from California State University, and a D.M.A. from the University of Washington.
