A Celebration of the Life and Art of Robert 'Bob' Mazur

Posted: Monday, May 23, 2016 by: Lindsey Harrison | Category: Arts and Entertainment

Robert 'Bob' Mazur (1938-2015) was an extremely respected professor of art at Bowling Green State University and an important artist locally, nationally, and regionally. His work is highly collected and hangs in many private homes and businesses. He is most recognized for his series inspired by underwater photographs, many he took while deep sea diving. To continue his legacy, American Frame is working with the Mazur family, the BGSU School of Art, and the BGSU Foundation to fund a scholarship in his name for aspiring art students. His remaining paintings, as well as reproductions, will be sold during this exhibit to support the scholarship. Join us for the opening reception Thursday June 9 from 5:30-7:30. The exhibit will be on display until July 29; gallery hours are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 8:30-5:30 Thursday 8:30-6:30 and Saturday 10:00-2:00.
