Greece Uncorked! set for November 5
Cultural event to benefit local charities by Ladies Philoptochos Society.
Toledo, Ohio (October 18, 2016) – Get ready for an evening of Greek food, drinks and entertainment at the first-ever Greece Uncorked!
Greece Uncorked!, organized by Ladies Philoptochos of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral, will be held on Saturday, November 5, 2016, from 7 – 11 p.m. at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Cathedral’s Education Building (740 Superior St., Toledo). The event, emceed by 13abc’s Tony Geftos, will feature samplings of Greek food, wine and beer, accompanied by music, a silent auction and more! Tickets are $50 per person, available online (Eventbrite) as well as at the door.
In past years our Philoptochos, (Ladies Philanthropic Society) has donated over $20,000 to charities and organizations that meet our core values and are in line with our mission statement, to aid the poor, elderly, handicapped, victims of disasters etc.. We are proud to have selected three local charities where funds raised will go directly back into the community. This year we have selected as recipients:
• Rebecca’s Haven and Toledo Gospel Rescue Mission
• Advocating Opportunity
• K9 Defender Fund
