Levis Commons Haunted House To Spotlight Heroin and Addiction Awareness
DISTRACTED Haunted House at Levis Commons has been providing thrills and chills to Northwest Ohio for the past several weeks. Saturday November 5th will be the last day to experience the attraction, but the closing day will also provide so much more! The haunt, which has received rave reviews and 5 star ratings, has been operating with the help of Team Recovery. Team Recovery is a local organization providing addiction recovery services and working to fight the heroin epidemic in NW Ohio. Volunteers from the organization have been working every night as actors in the attraction and more than $5,000 has been raised for the cause. For the final night of the attraction, their scares will not be limited to just those of the haunted house variety. “I want to scare you. You should be scared. This epidemic is a serious problem in our community and thousands of people are dying.” said Matt Bell, Founder of Team Recovery. “I have experienced the effects of heroin first-hand. I will tell you and the people you love why you should fear this drug and why you need to be scared.” Scare Because You Carewill be an evening of education, frights and fun.
