Library Offers Healthy, Hot Dinners to Children In-Need
(Released December 14, 2016): Meals for Children and Teens will be served in Children's Library MONDAY-FRIDAY from 4 - 4:45p.m. for the entire school year! In November, TLCPL began partnering with Children's Hunger Alliance to provide those 18 years old and younger a healthy, hot meal prepared and delivered by Manhattan's Catering, 1516 Adams Street. Children's Hunger Alliance is a statewide nonprofit organization that ensures children in-need, access to healthy food and nutrition education. There are 680,000 children in Ohio who are food insecure, meaning that one in four children do not know where their next meal is coming from. In 2015 Children's Hunger Alliance provided more than 5.1 million healthy meals and snacks to children in Ohio. We are proud to have them sponsor an after-school food program at Main Library.
