John Colvin '18 stars as Ren McCormack, the dancing Chicago transplant who finds himself in small-town Bomont, Kansas. The town banned dancing five years previously in response to a tragedy. Rev. Shaw Moore, played by Alex Evans '18, deals with grief by guiding the town toward salvation, at a price. The Reverend's wife, Vi (Alex Whitacre '17), and daughter, Ariel (Ellie Griffith '19) cope with the tragedy in their own way. Ren's new friend Willard (Hank Thomas '20) and Ariel's confidant Rusty (Denise Tamesis '19) help Ren navigate his new town. Joined by a cast thirty strong, the show will literally leap off the stage with energy. The Oscar and Tony-nominated top 40 score is augmented with dynamic new songs for the stage musical. Footloose celebrates the wisdom of listening to young people, guiding them with a warm heart and an open mind. The Millennium Theater is located on the campus of Maumee Valley Country Day School, 1715 S. Reynolds Rd, Toledo, Oh, 43614.
