Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra Launches 57th Season
The Perrysburg Symphony Orchestra under the direction of Patrick Barrett will launch its 57th musical season on Saturday October 7, at 7:30 p.m. at the Perrysburg Junior High School located at 550 E. South Boundary, Perrysburg. Theme for the concert is The Harp and the Symphony. Nancy Lendrim guest harpist will join the symphony for this performance. Maestro Barrett has chosen Wagner Prelude: to ‘Die Meistersinger’, Brahms: Symphony No. 1, and Mussorgsky, orchestrated by Rimsky-Korsakov: A Night on Bald Mountain. Ms. Lendrim will perform Debussy: Danses.
Ms. Lendrim has been Principal Harpist for the Toledo Symphony since 1980. She is a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory of Music and Cleveland Institute of Music. She is a student of the renowned harpist Alice Chalifoux. Ms. Lendrim’s studies included twelve summers with Chalifoux at the Salzedo School in Camden, Maine. She is also a member of the music faculty at the University of Toledo and at Heidelberg College.
The Perrysburg Junior High building is handicapped accessible with ample parking. General admission tickets for the concert are available at the door: Adults $12, seniors (65+) $10. There is no charge for children and students with identification.
