Pet Extravaganza

In this crazy world in which we live it is nice to bring the scale back down to the community. It is time to take a break and reconnect with our animal friends. St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church is once again hosting the Pet Extravaganza Saturday April 28th from 1 – 3pm. With the shorter time frame comes new activities focused on our connection with our animal companions.
This year Dr. Paul Pifer from Country Side Animal Hospital will be presenting his Pet Safety Speech. Dr. Pifer and the entire team is committed to education and keeping pets healthy year-round. Dr. Paul and his staff have years of experience, but that never stops them from learning about the newest care and technology in the veterinarian field. Even with their expansive knowledge they always take the time to answer questions and explain in depth procedures.
Golden Retriever Rescue Resource aka GRR will also be back with their high energy pack to remind us just how golden our days are. Comprised solely of volunteers who are passionately devoted to the golden retriever community. While they may focus on one breed, they are keen about adopting instead of shopping. Since they are always in need of volunteers, foster homes, and donations, it is asked that those who do attend the event make any amount of donation to their organization. Please take a moment to look at their website and make you donation with a card or bring your cash donation with you to the event.
St. Stephen’s Lutheran Church continues their tradition of welcoming all members of the community to their public events. Continuing to serve not only the humans, but all types of animals. Once again, we will be offering a blessing of our animal companions and will be working on our new Window on Wildlife. This will help us grow and support the life of all creatures, big and small. “It is always a joy to see the excitement of all the pets coming together and really being able to just connect with your fellow animal lovers.” Says Kristi Shepler the event organizer. “This event might take some work to put together, but when it is all said and done, it is time well spent.
In addition, there will be a photographer on sight to preserve this moment with you and your companion. There will also be a “puppy of all ages parade” around the neighborhood, weather permitting. Door prizes will be available filled with pet products provided by Thrivent Financial Funding.
