Lourdes University has announced that Southwyck Lanes will serve as the home center for the Gray Wolves’ men’s and women’s bowling teams which will begin play in the fall of 2018.

The center, which opened in 1973 and was referred to at the time as “The Country Club of Bowling”, houses 64 wood lanes with a very spacious concourse.

“We are ecstatic to have Southwyck Lanes as our home house,” head coach Torrie Bartalone said. “I feel Southwyck will allow for growth and support our program to excel on the lanes. Southwyck gives us more than enough to become a successful college program.”

Southwyck Lanes has hosted numerous national, state, and local tournaments. In 1997, it was the site of the PBA Senior Tour event and the PBA Professional Bowlers Tour held its World Championship there in 2001 and 2002.

“We are very proud to have been chosen to be the home center for Lourdes University’s bowling teams,” Sherry Gratop-Brown, owner of Southwyck Lanes said. “Torrie will take the Gray Wolves to the next level and we are very excited to be a part of Lourdes endeavor. It will also be an inspiration to our youth bowlers knowing that they can have the opportunity to take their bowling skills to the next level.”
