On October 30th, the Wulin Hanyun Kungfu Troupe, consisting of Shaolin Kungfu and folk music performances by masters from the Shaolin Martial Academy, will perform in UT’s Doermann Theatre from 7:00pm to 9:00pm. The acclaimed Shaolin Martial Academy performed at the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. The Confucius Institute at UT is delighted to bring this phenomenal performance to our community in celebrating its 10th anniversary.

This performance will present an interesting story about a boy named “A Bao” learning martial arts. The main themes of the performance will be seeking in nature, studying Shaolin, and passing on Chinese martial arts skills, taking you through the splendid world of Chinese Kung Fu.

Tickets are currently on sale in Snyder Memorial Room 1000 on UT’s Main Campus. Student, faculty, and staff tickets are $10. Tickets are $15 for the Greater Toledo community (cash and checks only). Discounts are also available for groups over 10 people.
