Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce Presents “The 33rd Annual Sylvania Fall Festival” – Sunday, October 21, 2018
The Sylvania Area Chamber of Commerce Presents the 33rd Annual Sylvania Fall Festival Presented by Cooper-Smith and Dave White Chevrolet on Sunday, October 21st from 10:00am-4:00pm in Historic Downtown Sylvania. This year’s event is will feature over 170 craft and business booths, 12 food trucks, a Family Fun Zone full of free kids activities including bounce houses, face painting, cornhole, and more, free train rides, pony rides, a free Pumpkin Patch, live entertainment, a pie baking contest, and the annual parade from 1:00pm-2:00pm along Main Street. New this year! The Sylvania Fall Festival will also feature a Trick or Treat on Main Street, a Donut Eating Challenge between Northview High School and Southview High School students and our Police and Fire Departments, a Pumpkin Carving Contest, and a Dino Dash – including an adult and kids race down Main Street between contestants dressed in the inflateable T-rex costumes. The Sylvania Boy Scouts Troop 154 will be collecting canned goods to be donated to Sylvania Area Family Services. All goods collected at the Sylvania Fall Festival are used to make Thanksgiving Baskets for local families. This year’s Sylvania Fall Festival parade will feature 3 high school marching bands, local dance, twirling and karate groups and Grand Marshals, Gary Shores of K-100 and the late Harvey J Steele’s family, all from Sylvania. Harvey’s truck will feature the green organ donor chair in memory of his legacy and passion to raise awareness for organ donation in Northwest Ohio through Life Connection of Ohio. Bleacher seating has also been added along Main Street for prime viewing.
