March 1 Once upon a Vine presented by BMW of Toledo Enjoy an array of cocktails and delightful hors-d'oeuvres while mingling in the Zoo’s new Carson Family Education Center. This fundraiser includes an exclusive up-close animal encounter, a four-course plated dinner with specialty wine pairing and short live auction, in front of the 73-foot long aquarium in the Malawi Event Center. March 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, 30 Snooze at the Zoo Spending the night at the Zoo is a wildly good time for families, groups and schools. During the overnight adventure, guests make enrichment for our animals, tour the Zoo, meet animals up close and enjoy delicious meals. Each Snooze lasts from 6:30 p.m. - 10 a.m. the next day. Weekdays March 4-15 Online Discounts A 25% off coupon is available online at toledozoo.org and is valid weekdays (Monday through Friday) March 4-8 and 11-15. Saturday, March 9 Air Plant Sculpture Workshop Join us for another round of botany and bubbly at our Air Plant Sculpture Workshop! Don’t have a green thumb but into stylish sculptural plants? Then this Air Plant (Tillandsia) workshop is perfect for you! These cool, low maintenance, small blooming plants that don’t need soil to grow and can live almost anywhere, making them great for your home. Reservations are required. Tuesday, March 19 Garden Tour Series: Come Grow with Us Join the Zoo’s horticulture staff for a behind-the-scenes tour of our greenhouse facility. Guests will get a sneak peek at what the Zoo has planned for summer annual displays and take home some tips on how to start and grow healthy annuals, vegetables, and indoor foliage plants. Friday, March 22 Wine Tasting Ages 21 & up enjoy a delectable array of wines, hors-d'oeuvres and live music surrounded by the world beneath the waves in the Aquarium from 7 – 9 p.m. Advanced tickets are required. Saturday, March 23 Teddy Bear Care Fair Bring your favorite stuffed pal and Zoo volunteers will make sure it’s fixed up and fit for another year of fun! Visitors and their stuffies can also enjoy keeper and vet talks, animal feeds and demonstrations, puppet shows, activities and more. Tuesday, March 26 – Thursday, March, 28 Spring Break Camp Need something fun for your children to do that keeps the learning going while on spring break from school? Sign them up for Spring Break Camp at the Toledo Zoo. Campers ages five - 12 will enjoy spending the day exploring animal exhibits, seeing live animal demonstrations and playing fun games. Each day has a different interactive theme and campers are welcome to sign up for one or more days. More information is available at toledozoo.org/camps. Thursday, March 28 YPAC After Hours Join Young Professionals for Animals and Conservation (YPAC) at YPAC After Hours to learn about the Zoo’s resident Tasmanian Devils, its recent trip to Tasmania and its vital role in contributing to saving this endangered species. Sunday, March 31 Zoomba Get your sweat on at Zoomba! Move and groove to traditional Latin rhythms and animal-inspired tunes for an hour of energetic exercise to benefit the Zoo’s Raising Up Red Pandas campaign. Workout will be 9-10 a.m. in the Malawi Event Center. Open to ages 10 & up, fitness attire required, water will be provided. Register day of or in advance at toledozoo.org.
