On Monday, March 18, the Sylvania Franciscan Village (SFV) kicks off its 8th annual Have a Heart Restock Drive to supply personal care items to six area outreach pantries: Bethany House, Claver House, Helping Hands of St. Louis, Our Lady of Lourdes Outreach Soup Kitchen, Sylvania Area Family Services and US Together. Individuals are encouraged to drop off unused personal care items in donation boxes on the campus of the Sisters of St. Francis of Sylvania and Lourdes University, and at Sylvania Schools and local businesses. “It’s important to assist our local outreach agencies after the winter season when their supplies are often greatly depleted. All donations of unused personal care items go directly to the agencies and those they serve,” says Ms. Sophia Lloyd, SFV Director. The drive runs from March 18 – 28 with the distribution of items occurring on March 29. Those wishing to make a monetary donation can also contact Ms. Lloyd at 419-824-3533.
