Lourdes announces Summer Athletic Camps
Lourdes University Athletics Director Janet Eaton is pleased to announce a full slate of Summer Athletic Camps. Monday, June 3-Thursday, June 6 Youth Lacrosse Camp Lourdes University will hold its 2019 Youth Lacrosse Camp on its grass and turf fields for boys in grades 5-8, from 4pm to 7pm. Head Coach Patrick Yannarelli along with other members of the coaching staff and Gray Wolf players directs the camp. $50 for registration. Monday, June 10-Wednesday, June 12 Summer Volleyball Camp Summer Volleyball Camp for both boys and girls in grades 8-12, will take place at the Russell J. Ebeid Recreation Center, 6737 Convent Blvd. in Sylvania, from 9am to 3pm. Lourdes University volleyball staff and members of the program will teach campers basic skills including serving, passing, setting, hitting, and defensive techniques. Friday, June 14-Sunday, June 16 Bowling Camps Lourdes University will hold three days of bowling camps for various ages at Southwyck Lanes, 5255 Heatherdowns Blvd, Toledo, 43614. June 14 On June 14, Fundamentals and Basics of Bowling for ages 7-12 will prepare kids for league and high school. Camp will take place from 5pm to 6:30pm. $40 per camper. All campers will receive a t-shirt. June 15 On June 15, there is a camp for bowlers entering 7-12 grades. The camp will focus on the mental part of bowling, sport shot pattern, and physical game breakdown for individual and team experience to prepare for high school, competition, and collegiate play. The camp will run from 9am to 4pm. $75 per camper. T-shirt, ball towel, and lunch are included. June 16 On June 16, there will be a free Lourdes University Experience seminar from 10am to 11am. Attendees will receive information about the school, bowling program, NAIA bowling, and hear from Lourdes bowlers. There will be a Mini 6 Game Sweeper beginning at 1pm. Monday, June 17-Wednesday, June 19 Baseball Camp The 2019 Lourdes Summer Baseball Camp for kids in grades 4-12 will be held at Total Sports Complex, 10020 S. Compass Drive, Rossford, from 9am to 12pm each day. Under the direction of Head Coach Jeremy Snow, baseball staff and players, campers will focus on infield and outfield defense, offensive techniques at the plate and running bases, pitching mechanics and catching defense. Wednesday, June 19 Women’s Lacrosse Summer Clinic Lourdes University will hold its 2019 Women’s Lacrosse Summer Clinic at the mid-campus field, 6737 Convent Blvd in Sylvania, from 12pm to 3pm. This camp is open to all ages, and directed by Head Coach Alyssa Shaver along with Gray Wolf players. Wednesday, June 19-Saturday, August 3 Girls Basketball Camp Lourdes University will host three girls basketball camps at the Russell Ebeid Rec Center, 6737 Convent Blvd. in Sylvania. Wednesday, June 19-Friday, June 21 Basketball Camp will take place from 9am to 12pm. This camp is designed to teach girls the basic fundamentals of basketball. $30 for one camper or $50 with a sibling. Saturday, June 22-Sunday, June 23 Team Shootout will take place from 9am to 7pm. This event is limited to eight teams, with each team guaranteed three games per day. A single elimination tournament will take place at the end. $125 for one day; $200 for both days. Saturday, August 3 An elite camp for 8-12 graders will take place at the Russell J. Ebeid Rec Center, 6737 Convent Blvd, from 10am to 2pm. Campers will learn fundamentals under the guidance of college basketball coaches and players, completing drills to help their game, and participate in live games. Wednesday, June 26-Friday, June 28 Wrestling Camp The 2019 Summer Wrestling Camp will take place inside the Franciscan Center gym, 6832 Convent Blvd. in Sylvania, from 9am to 12pm. The camp is designed to focus on techniques that will help elementary, middle, and high school level wrestlers. Sessions include instruction, drilling, and live competition. Campers will be separated into groups according to age, weight, and experience level to ensure the most improvement, challenge and fun. $75 per camper.
