The Franciscan Center of Lourdes University is pleased to announce the July slate of evens. Wednesday, July 3 The Lourdes University Upward Bound program is offering a Talent Show from 1pm to 3pm. This event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Hallie Freed at (419) 724-0362 or Thursday, July 11 The Sylvania Franciscan Village is pleased to present a Father Jim Bacik lecture, “Bridging the Generational Divide: Christian Perspectives,” on Thursday, July 11, 2019 from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Franciscan Center, 6832 Convent Blvd., in Sylvania. This lecture will examine the divide between millennials and previous generations created by the digital culture with its reliance on social media. Fr. Bacik will draw on scientific studies, as well as the recent Apostolic Exhortation of Pope Francis, “Christ Is Alive,” for practical advice on bridging this divide. This two-week camp is for students grades 4-12 with previous acting/theatre experience. Students will perform "Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Prince" at the end of the camp.
