Community Child Safety Seminar
Featuring Victor Vieth, MA, JD
Community educational seminar for parents, teachers, daycare workers, and
community servants.
Qualifies for CEUs related to child development, child safety, abuse
recognition, reacting to abusive situations, and implementing policies &
practices for abuse prevention.
October 12, 2019 9 AM to 3:30 PM
2250 S. Holland Sylvania Rd. Lunch is provided. Registration: $7 through
Victor Vieth (J.D., M.A.), working with the Zero Abuse Project, is an internationally-recognized
expert on child safety. Victor has trained thousands of child-protection professionals from all 50
states, two U.S. Territories, and 17 countries on numerous topics pertaining to child abuse
investigations, prosecutions and prevention. Mr. Vieth will talk about criminals, criminal patterns,
what's normal or abnormal behavior during child development. He'll also discuss the various forms
of emotional abuse, and the effects that abuse can have in a child's life. Participants will learn how
to talk with their kids about proper behaviors, what to look for when finding a day care or church,
how to respond (and prevent) abuse, and strategies for effective discipline that reinforce child
“So you can say, ‘I know how to keep my kids safe!’”
Through our Saturday Seminar series, Resurrection Lutheran seeks to provide practical value to the
parents, educators, and child-serving professionals of our community. People of every faith
tradition are encouraged to attend & learn best practices for keeping kids safe.
