Toledo Stamp Expo ’20, the 96th annual exhibition and bourse of the Stamp Collectors Club of Toledo will be held February 28th and 29th at Graystone Banquet Hall, 29101 Hufford Road, Perrysburg, OH 43551. The show will be open Fri. 10 AM ‐ 5 PM & Sat. 10 AM ‐ 4 PM. It is handicapped accessible, free admission and free parking.
This year we will be commemorating the 200th anniversary of Wood County, founded February 12th, 1820. There will be souvenir Show Cards and covers with a special postal service cancel to commemorate the event. Over twenty stamp dealers, with inventory for most collecting interest will be on hand to assist you with your specific needs. The United States Postal Service will have a booth where you can shop for the latest issues.
There will be 880 pages of exhibits covering a wide range of collecting interests on display. This year, to celebrate “Leap Year” we have an interesting exhibit featuring “February 29th” postal markings for each year dating back to 1800. Exhibits seen at our show have also been shown and won awards at National and International stamp shows. Dr. Vitaly Geyfman, Scranton, Pa., received the Grand Award at CHICAGOPEX 2019 for his “1st Transatlantic Flight from NYC to Lithuania July 15, 1933” which was shown for 1st time at Toledo Stamp Expo ‘19. “The Trucial States ‐ Palm Trees and Dhow Series of 1961” shown by Earl Toops, Ft. Wayne, IN., at our 2018 show was shown in Sharjah UAE in November, and won a Grand award at Plymouth, MI last April. Earl’s entry this year on Provisional issues of South Viet Nam has won awards at national shows in Milwaukee, San Jose, and Indianapolis.
Both days’ club members will be available from Noon to 3PM to look over any collections you may have if you would like an idea of what they are worth. Their appraisal IS NOT an offer to purchase and club members WILL NOT purchase anything they appraise. However, if you are interested in selling we will have over 20 dealers on the floor and you are welcome to contact any of them to try and make a deal. Everyone entering the show will receive a free commemorative Perrysburg’s 200th anniversary 2016 cover.
