Be the Founder Youth Entrepreneurship Program
TOLEDO, OHIO -- StartHuddle will host the first Be the Founder youth entrepreneurship cultivation program and pitch competition for students in the Northwest Ohio area.
Starting on March 6th, 2021, registered students will attend four weekly virtual sessions throughout the month of March. Sessions will cover topics on idea formation, proposal development, business model plan, and pitching your idea.
On March 31th, the pitch competition will be held and will allow participants to compete to win over $500 in seed funding to use towards the development of their entrepreneurial goals. Jake Zajkowski, Director of Outreach + Operations for StartHuddle, said this program and competition is one of the firsts in the area.
“Toledo is an economic hub for small business and entrepreneurs to begin or expand their operations. We created Be the Founder to make sure our youth growing up in this area have the skills, resources, and funding to achieve whatever goal they set when starting a business.”
The program will include many well recognized industry leaders such as Dr. Gene Poor, Professor at Bowling Green State University and Molly Reams Thompson, Owner and CEO of Perrysburg Energy Solutions.
Students that live in Northwest Ohio can sign-up for this virtual program at no costs at all. The founding nonprofit organization, StartHuddle, believes in equitable opportunities in entrepreneurship and it’s goal is to break down the age barrier of any student entering in this industry.
