Mothers’ Center is a local nonprofit that brings mothers together for support, fun, friendship and more! From regular meetings to social activities to community involvement, Mothers’ Center is a group of everyday moms who want to connect with other mothers throughout the greater Toledo community. Covid-19 has certainly forced us to adapt, while staying safe remained our priority we opted for virtual events and connection, making sure mothers in our community didn’t feel even more isolated.
During the open house, attendees will meet members and have a chance to ask questions about the organization, its purpose, its benefits and how to join, as well as asking members how Mothers’ Center has helped them navigate motherhood. The group’s many features, including a babysitting co-op, social events, community outreach and more will also be presented and discussed.
“Mothers’ Center is truly one of my favorite things. To think I once lived without it - is honestly so sad, because it brings me so much happiness and I’ve made such great friends. This is without a doubt the nicest, most welcoming, most supportive and encouraging group of women I’ve ever met.”, says member Emily Steinman. “A supportive group of Moms who are real about their life & kind to each other! I've really enjoyed this group over the past year, especially with the pandemic, the virtual Mom nights have been a lifeline! It's been a great way to meet new friends!”, added member Sara Talbot.
The Mothers' Center of Greater Toledo is a non-profit organization established in 1984 by mothers, for mothers and their families. The group meets regularly, to share common experiences, make new friends and enjoy the company of peers, or simply for a good round of Trivia. In addition to weekly meetings discussing topics of interest to parents and mothers, the group offers play-dates, an executive mommas group for working mothers, and many family activities. Due to Covid-19 all meetings have been moved online and play-dates and activities that are deemed unsafe are suspended. Our free meeting offer still stands and any prospective member can attend one meeting for free before deciding to join the group.
