Social Justice Stations of the Cross

Good Friday, April 2, Noon

Gather on the front steps of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church at 11:15 a.m.

428 N. Erie Street, Toledo, OH 43604

All are invited to join in praying the Stations of the Cross around the Courthouse on Good Friday, April 2, at noon. The ecumenical prayer will focus on current social justice issues linked to each station.

Starting on the front steps of St. Paul’s Lutheran, 428 North Erie Street, the group will walk on the sidewalk around the courthouse, stopping for a short prayer at each of the 14 stations and ending back at St. Paul’s. Because of the coronavirus pandemic, we will not be singing this year.

The Stations of the Cross have a long and varied history as a means of meditating in a spiritual pilgrimage commemorating Jesus’ suffering and death.

The prayer event includes representatives of several Christian communities and is organized by St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
