Franklin Park Mall Announces Call for Artists for 50th Anniversary Mural Art Project
Local Artists Invited to Submit their Vision by June 21, 2021 for a 306-sq ft Outdoor Mural at Franklin Park Mall.
TOLEDO, OH – June 7, 2021 – Franklin Park Mall, Northwest Ohio’s premier shopping, dining and entertainment destination since 1971 is excited to announce a call for artists for a high-visibility, exterior mural project celebrating the shopping center’s upcoming 50th Anniversary.
The Franklin Park Mall 50th Anniversary Mural Art Project Call For Artists will be accepting online submissions through 11:59 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021. Local Northwest Ohio artists or artist groups who demonstrate artistic excellence and imagination and who have the capabilities to create an engaging work of art that will invite community interaction and inspire future opportunities for artistic collaboration are encouraged to apply. Submissions that reflect the spirit of Toledo and Franklin Park Mall while celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the regional shopping center will receive thoughtful consideration.
“Northwest Ohio is home to many gifted artisans, and we are excited to see their talents and creativity shared with the community through this public art project at Franklin Park Mall. The mural will be an integral component of the 50th Anniversary celebrations the center has planned,” said Casey Pogan, Marketing & Business Development Director at Franklin Park Mall.
Artists are encouraged to review submission guidelines at www.visitfranklinparkmall.com/art and submit their concept by the June 21 deadline. Entries will be reviewed by a committee of Franklin Park Mall representatives and the artist selected will be notified on June 24, 2021.
