Wednesday at Woodland Featuring the Dave Carpenter Duo

The July 28 Wednesday at Woodlands lunch concert series will feature the Dave Carpenter Duo from noon to 1:00 p.m.  Concert goers are encouraged to pack a lunch and sit at one of the many tables available in the Woodlands Park Shelter area.  Woodlands Park is located on East Boundary at State Route 795.  

 

Dave Carpenter is a well- known area guitarist, singer and songwriter as well as the co-founder of the huge annual fund raiser event called 'Acoustics for Autism'.  The mega music event and fundraiser is in its 14th year.  Mr. Carpenter is currently working on songs for his second album.  The first titled, "The Jaegler" can be found on all platforms.  

 

During his long music career the talented musician has opened for Wilco, Rusted Root, George Clinton, and Joan Jett.  His musical background has been in addition to his teaching career.  He has been an area teacher for 28 years, currently at Penta County Career Center.  Dave Carpenter will be joined by double bass player Chris Zielenski.  In addition to playing in the Dave Carpenter Duo Mr. Zielenski plays with two other very popular bands,  Polka Floyd, and The Screaming Heathens.  

 

This concert concludes the 2021 Wednesday at Woodlands  concert season.  We'll look forward to seeing everyone on the first  Wednesday of June 2022.
