Toledo, Ohio--St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Catholic Church is pleased to welcome black Catholic lay evangelist Richard Lane, the son of NFL Hall of Fame Cornerback, Dick “Night Train” Lane, to lead our Parish Mission September 13th through 16th.
A parish mission is designed to help people grow in their faith. Kind of like a spiritual booster shot or jump start for those who have been a little lethargic or dead in their faith. Richard will speak at the weekend masses on September 11th and 12th and will speak Monday through Thursday for 1 hour at 9:30 a.m. and 7 p.m. Both presentations each day are the same but will be given twice for the convenience of people attending.
People of all ages and denominations are invited to attend the parish mission. Each session will build upon the previous, so if you miss one, don’t worry, you will still be blessed.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Richard Lane, Jr. is truly on the rise as one of the most sought after, empowering and inspirational speakers in the United States of America and abroad. He is the ONLY African-American Catholic Lay Evangelist. in “full-time Catholic ministry” in the United States of America.
Evangelist Lane has been featured numerous times on all Major Catholic Radio Networks, including EWTN’s The Journey Home, as well as having produced and hosted his own EWTN Mini-Series entitled, “New Wine in New Wineskins.”
The St. Patrick of Heatherdowns Mission is being coordinated through the Diocese of Toledo office of Intercultural Ministry and will be followed by a Parish mission at Saint Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Toledo.
