Perrysburg Sculpture Walk in Woodlands Park
The Perrysburg Sculpture Walk features 17 sculptures located in Woodlands Park, 429 E. Boundary St, Perrysburg plus two Man in the City Project sculptures off site (see Man in the City Project information below) The sculpture walk features nationally known sculptors from five states. The exhibit includes work that is interactive, (step into Fountain of Wishes and make a wish), kinetic and thought provoking with visual narratives. Guided tours are available by appointment. A QR code on the sculpture signs take you to a website to learn about the sculptors and sculptures on display.
The exhibit is laid out to be a walking destination in the warm months and a driving destination in the colder months. Lights will be added soon for evening viewing. The exhibit compliments the many activities available in Woodlands Park which include a large playground, disc golf, summer lunch concerts, a sheltered picnic area and pocket gardens along the walking paths.
The Man in the City Project by Michigan Artist, John Sauve' challenges viewers to a "seek and find" challenge. The bright orange 50's style man is located on a rooftop somewhere in downtown Perrysburg. A ten foot iteration of the rooftop figure is located in Milestone Park, 727 Sandusky Street.
