Platinum Filament 5k Costume Run and Music Festival
Oak Leaf Productions LLC is hosting the 4th Annual Platinum Filament 5k Costume Run and Music Festival on Saturday, October 16th 2021 in the Whitehouse Village Park. When runners sign up for this 5k they are helping us appreciate Direct Support Professionals who mentor ladies and gentlemen with developmental disabilities.
Proceeds from the event will be distributed directly to qualified DSP’s through a grant we started called the Platinum Partnership Award Of Excellence. This year we are proud to be partnering with Bittersweet Farms. Please consider signing up to run and/or donate at www.runsignup.com
The Platinum Filament 5k Costume Run is a marked and timed 5k on a paved rout away from traffic. This 5k starts in the Whitehouse Village Park, goes around the quarry, down the Wabash Trail and back to finish the race. Following the 5k there will be awards. All runners that sign up will receive a race medal and t-shirt.
While supporters wait to cheer on the incoming runners there will be a trunk-or-treat and Jay from Leahy Legacy begins his wood carving show at 9:15AM. There will be a silent auction that will include the wood carvings.
Asa Dankind from the band Three 2 Many is running our sound for the live music. Our live performers include music from Genevieve Quillet, Owen Michael Hubbard, Moths In The Attic, Horselover, Forgotten Realm and Self Reflect.
Our food trucks which include Deets BBQ, Franks Fries, Tacos El Rancho arrive at noon. Wild Side Brewery is providing beverages for our beer garden.
We will also have face painting and a 50/50 raffle after the Platinum Filament 5k Costume Run. Bring a chair and plan on making it a day in the Whitehouse Village Park.
