Assurance Health System to Hold Official Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony for Toledo Hospital
Sylvania, Ohio (Sept. 27, 2021) – Assurance Health System will host a ribbon-cutting event to officially celebrate the opening of its newest hospital (4040 King Road, Sylvania, Ohio) Oct. 14 at 2:30 p.m. Assurance, Toledo first began treating patients in January 2021.
“According to the Alzheimer’s Association, over six million older adults are living with Alzheimer’s,” said Dewayne Long, co-owner of Assurance Health System. “We are dedicated to reducing the stigma of dementia and mental illness within the older adult community. Located in Sylvania, Ohio and serving southern Michigan and Northern Ohio, Assurance Health - Toledo is a 23-bed facility that focuses exclusively on assisting geriatric patients who are suffering from an acute psychiatric event. The hospital, which is accredited by The Joint Commission, is designed for maximum patient safety without compromising on comfort.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony will be immediately followed by a chili cookoff/Octoberfest event. Several sponsors and members of the community are expected to be present.
