Epworth UMC Hosts Regional Veteran's Day Event

On November 11 at 7pm in the main Sanctuary of Epworth United Methodist Church a Regional Veteran's Day Worship Experience will be held. Veterans from throughout Lucas County will be honored including 97 year old Lt. Ferd Markley who was deployed to the South Pacific as a Navy pilot in World War II.

Guest speakers for the event will be Senator Teresa Fedor and former Toledo Mayor and current State Representative Paula Hicks-Hudson.  A special Honor Guard from the University of Toledo ROTC will also participate.

Dr. Stephen Lowell Swisher, Senior Pastor of Epworth UMC states, "This event is Free and Open to the Public. Everyone is invited and encouarged to attend this meaningful opportunity to honor those who have served or currently serve our Nation here at home and around the World."
