“Water, An Homage” Exhibit Opens in Downtown Toledo
Toledo, Ohio, January 3, 2022—”Water, An Homage," an exhibit of abstract paintings, prints, and collages by Toledo area artist Jesse Mireles is currently showing at the Gallery on Six in downtown Toledo. Gallery on Six is located on the 6th floor of the Secor Building, 425 Jefferson Avenue, Toledo. The exhibit is open to the public Mondays through Saturdays, 8 a.m. through 6 p.m. Mireles will also schedule private Sunday viewings by request.
“Water, an Homage” features some of Mireles' newest works of art. "The subjects of flora and fauna in my paintings were all, in some way inspired by that most precious life source, water," said Mireles. "Of all the planets in our solar system, Earth is the only one that has water on its surface, the essential element which makes life as we know it, possible," he stated
According to Mireles, the exhibit will be on view through February 27, 2022. Unfortunately, because of the threat of the COVID-19 Omicron variant, Mireles has chosen not to schedule an opening event. However, he may host a closing ceremony if COVID infections lessen significantly by the end of February.
