Wellaroma Natural Products and Organic Tea Lounge Celebrates First Anniversary
PERRYSBURG, OH, January 18, 2022 – After opening amid a global pandemic, Wellaroma retail store is celebrating its first anniversary. The Perrysburg-based, female-founded shop opened a brick-and-mortar location at the end of 2020.
“We are so happy to make it to our one-year and head into our second year with confidence and ability to continue to support our local community live healthier lives,” said Angela Hill, Founder of Wellaroma and certified Aromatherapist.
Wellaroma offers a unique shopping experience in the Toledo area that focuses on health and well-being on all levels. The fun and vibrant space offers products including natural shower oils, healing creams, immunity building, bug and tick sprays, and organic loose-leaf teas.
Wellaroma makes its products in-house in small batches. It also carries products from companies who use clean and ethical formulas, with a focus on supporting other small, local businesses.
“As a mom of three young kids, my top priority was to create a space that offers products that are safe and effective for all ages, especially for young, growing children,” said Hill.
In addition to products for everyday needs including sleep, pain, anxiety, skincare and general health, Wellaroma carries roughly 50 organic loose-leaf teas, expanding tea offerings in its first year. With new flavors each month, many of the teas are custom blends and can be bought by the ounce, to-go or enjoyed in the shop.
“We wanted to create a must-visit shop for tea-drinkers in the area,” said Hill, “Our Tea’Coco, a blend of hot tea and coco, has been a seasonal favorite, rivaling the popularity of our custom cold-brewed teas in the summer.”
Wellaroma also offers events and classes, often co-hosted with other local businesses, including Create Studios and Loden Floral Design, to bring the community together for both fun and education. Children’s classes include make-and-take scented playdough and make-your-own all-natural bath bombs. Adult classes include aromatherapy courses, make-and-take classes, and flower arranging.
“We are grateful for the support of our community,” said Hill. “We knew opening during a pandemic would have unique challenges, but we were embraced by the community and look forward to growing with each other for years to come.”
