St. Patrick of Heatherdowns School will have a Pre-K & Kindergarten Information Meeting on Tuesday, April 5 at 5:30 p.m. in the church at 4201 Heatherdowns Boulevard. Families are invited to learn more about the early childhood offerings at St. Pat’s that builds the foundation for lifelong learning.
The school’s Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs give children their first introduction to Catholic culture and identity with programs that offer opportunities for academic growth and promote social and emotional development in a learning environment structured with an emphasis on hands-on interaction and play. The curriculum is designed to meet the needs of the whole child that will allow for academic and personal growth throughout the school year.
The programs further promote language and cognitive skills, boost math and literacy skills, and provide opportunities for physical growth and development. In our classrooms, children will develop self-help skills and independence. They will also learn to care for others by engaging in activities that nurture kindness, honesty, forgiveness, and love of God and others.
St. Pat’s School provides continuity and community. Students will begin building a community of teachers, mentors, spiritual partnerships and friends, which helps create a support system for themselves and their families. The structure of the Pre-Kindergarten through 8th Grade school allows for continuity during the critual foundation building years.
St. Patrick of Heatherdowns School has dedicated faculty and staff that believe each child is a gift from God. Our teachers feel blessed to be given the opportunity to help shape the next generation into loving, trustworthy, accountable, and respectful children of Christ.
