Mothers' Center of Greater Toledo dedicating a Little Free Library at their Open House in Copland Park on July 30, 2022

The Mothers' Center of Greater Toledo is holding a summer open house on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 10am to 12pm at Copland Park in Toledo.  At this open house, the group will be dedicating and installing a new Little Free Library in the park for members of the public to use and enjoy, and there will be a special storytime for children as well.  In addition, the Mothers’ Center is partnering with a new business in town, Waddle N Move, which will set up their soft play equipment for children to try out. Their soft play party setups are available as rentals for events (check out https://www.waddlenmove.com/ for more information), and are tailored for children ages 6 months to 5 years old to have fun in a safe space.

All interested mothers and caregivers are invited, along with their children, to join the free event and learn about the Mothers’ Center and Waddle N Move.

The Mothers’ Center is a local nonprofit that brings mothers together for support, fun, friendship and more! From regular meetings to social activities to community involvement, Mothers’ Center is a group of moms who want to connect with other mothers throughout the greater Toledo community. It also participates in community outreach projects -  the group sponsored the build and installation of the Little Free Library at Copland Park.

During the open house, attendees will meet members and have a chance to ask questions about the organization, its purpose, its benefits and how to join, as well as asking members how Mothers’ Center has helped them navigate motherhood. The group’s many features, including a babysitting co-op, social events (including some for working moms), community outreach, Buy Nothing Group and more will also be presented and discussed.

The group holds informative sessions for mothers as well as field trips for mothers and their children throughout the year. Anyone interested in joining the group can reach out to [email protected] and attend one session or event for free before joining for an annual fee of $30.
