Clash of the Contractors – OSHA and Local Union Contractors Teaming up along with 2Tuff2Talk for Mental Health Awareness & Suicide Prevention Fundraiser
ROSSFORD, OHIO August 5th 2022 – In an effort to bring awareness to the on-going need for mental health advocacy, 2Tuff2Talk is proud to announce its inaugural public fundraiser event - Clash of the Contractors which will be held in Rossford, OH August 20th 2022 from 11am to 7pm.
Presented by Harness Health Partners Powered by Mercy Health, and Moriarty Machinery & Supply Co. as well as our supporting sponsors Laibe, and Foundation Steel. Family friendly event focused on raising funds and awareness for suicide prevention and mental health advocacy. Teams comprised of union construction workers will be competing against one another in multiple tournaments including Wiffleball, Volleyball, Cornhole, and Tug of War.

Our stage entertainment is presented by Mechanical Contractors Association of NW Ohio featuring local bands Married with Children, East River Drive, and Madison Ave with additional support from VM Systems, Spieker General Contractors, and Lathrop.

Raffles, Gift Cards, and Silent Auction
We are hosting a silent auction, a ticketed auction, and multiple 50/50 raffles throughout the day including 2023 Mudhens Tickets with ceremonial first pitch, 2023 Walleye Tickets with a Zamboni Ride, custom campfire ring donated by VM Systems, and tons of gift cards ranging from $5 to over $200 all donated by area businesses and restaurants.

According to CIASP, there are approximately 5,500 suicides among construction workers per year, at 15 suicides a day this is 3.5 times greater than the national average. 2Tuff2Talk is a voluntary organization that helps union construction workers and their families in NW Ohio navigate mental health issues through education, and providing resources using a boots on the ground approach. The union construction trades are strong and resilient in Northwest Ohio, and due to the high numbers of suicides in our area, we have united in our efforts to raise awareness and educate our industry. ###
