Wednesday at Woodlands Lunchtime Concert Series Presents EZ Pickenz
The Wednesday at Woodlands lunchtime concert series continues August 10 with EZ Pickenz Trio from noon to 1 p.m. at the Woodlands Park shelter area, 429 E. Boundary. The series will continue every Wednesday through August. Picnic tables in the sun or shade are available for those that want to each their lunches while listening to the music.
EZ Pickenz has expanded from a duo to a trio featuring Mark Elder, on bass, and electric guitar; Matt Meeker, acoustic and electric guitar and the newest member Lyle Diefenthaler on the Cajon drum box and hand percussion. Their fan base continues to grow with their polished three part harmonies that allow them to perform favorite hits from the late 60’s through the 70’s by Credence Clearwater Revival, Moody Blues, Grateful Dead, Crosby Stills Nash and Young and more. Interestingly solo musician Lyle Diefenthaler met Mark Elder, and Matt Meeker when they performed as a duo for Wednesday at Woodlands in the 2021 season. After discussing the percussion Lyle thought would be fitting for their sound a trio was soon born. The trio has been well received and perform frequently all over the area.
