Music at the Market Presents Minglewood Labor Camp
Music at the Market presented by Mercy Health continues Thursday, August 18 at 7:00 with Minglewood Labor Camp.
Concerts take place on the lawn of the Commodore Schoolyard, 140 E. Indiana Avenue.
Minglewood Labor Camp is a five-piece Americana string band led by Paul Matthews who explained the origin of the band that refers to their music as dust bowl punk and country, " MLC was forged from our mutual admiration for the Anthology of American Folk Music". The Anthology of American Folk Music is a 3-album compilation of 84 recordings of American folk, blues, and county released between 1926 to 1933 by various artists. The band has been together since 2009 and have recorded and released three albums. The first was self-titled Minglewood Labor Camp, which Matthews added, "was recorded in band member Mike Peters living room". Michigan Cadillac was their second, and most recently Guiltless Days. Band members include Zack Kunkle, vocals, and upright bass; Kevin "Kehab Haberkamp, banjo and vocals; Mike Peters, dobro and steel guitar; Greg Darr, lead guitar; and Paul Matthews, vocals, harmonica, rhythm guitar and kazoo.
Concert goers are encouraged to bring a chair or blanket.

The Music at the Market concert series runs in conjunction with the Farmers Market which features booths with fresh foods, products, and food trucks. This concert series is made possible by The Perrysburg Convention and Visitors Bureau, Mercy Health and coordinated by Main ART-ery.
