On September 20, 2022, Americans will celebrate National Voter Registration Day with a massive cross-country effort by Thousands of national, state, and local organizations and volunteers to register voters ahead of the highly important midterm elections. Every eligible American voter should have the option to exercise their right to be heard at the ballot box, and National Voter Registration Day is the right day to start by getting registered and ready to vote. Communities across the country, in all 50 states and D.C., are planning to use National Voter Registration Day to get registered and get #VoteReady. The purpose of the events is to register new voters, assist voters to update their registrations with any changes, help voters find their current polling locations, and provide voters with educational resources to ensure they are vote ready.
“We’re excited to be part of a national effort on National Voter Registration Day 2022 to strengthen our democracy by ensuring that our community is ready to vote,” said Alexii Collins. “We highly encourage anyone who is not registered to vote, young people who recently turned 18 years old, voters who have recently moved, and anyone unsure of their current polling location or how to vote early to attend.”
